"you were the same as me
but on your knees"
****
senseless ramblings
the inspiration for this piece didn't come until after i had started blending the sky and working with the water. it originally started only as a project to practice blending, which i haven't done before. the inspiration wasn't initially for a unicorn but rather for any kind of melancholy looking horse.
i had the picture of this horse in my favorites and it was when i came across it again that the inspiration for the unicorn piece came.
it is meant to look melancholy, sort of like a last surviving unicorn sort of thing. and even, at that, it's supposed to feel as if even this particular unicorn is beginning to die, which is why it's a bit dark and he's not looking as proud as a unicorn should.
that's the feeling i got from it and the feel that i worked with, but feel free to draw your own conclusions from it.

this piece makes me want to cry out of boundless joy and enormous pride.
